Futures Calls Recap for 9/16/15

Another day of no volume while we wait for the Fed. For the first time in a while, we didn't take the Opening Range plays because they triggered so far outside of the range. See those trades below.

Net ticks: +0 ticks.

As usual, let's start by taking a look at the ES and NQ with our market directional lines, VWAP, and Comber on the 5-minute chart from today's session:

ES and NQ Opening and Institutional Range Plays:

ES Opening Range Play would have triggered at A, but that candle closed too far outside of the range to take:

NQ Opening Range Play would have triggered at A, but that candle closed too far outside of the range to take:

Forex Calls Recap for 9/16/15

Mixed back for the session, but we are now back to flat after closing the GBPUSD from the prior day. See EURUSD section below.

Here's a look at the US Dollar Index intraday with our market directional lines:

EURUSD:

Triggered long at A and stopped (note the Comber 13 sell signal). Triggered short at B, hit first target at C, stopped second half. Triggered long again at D, note the Comber 13 again, and closed right under the entry at E for end of session:

Stock Picks Recap for 9/15/15

With each stock's recap, we will include a (with market support) or (without market support) tag, designating whether the trade triggered with or without market directional support at the time. Anything in the first five minutes will be considered WITHOUT market support because market direction cannot be determined that early. ETF calls do not require market support, and are thus either winners or losers.

From the report, TRVN triggered long (without market support due to opening 5 minutes) and didn't work:

From the Messenger/Tradesight_st Twitter Feed, LULU triggered short (with market support) and worked:

GILD triggered long (with market support) and worked great:

Rich's FB triggered long (with market support) and worked:

His TSLA triggered short (without market support) and didn't quite work enough for partial:

In total, that's 3 trades triggering with market support, all 3 of them worked, nice day.

Futures Calls Recap for 9/15/15

Couple of nice opening range plays again (and actually the other direction also triggered in the first hour and worked if you were interested), but volume was horrible again so I refrained from making other calls. NASDAQ volume closed at 1.4 billion shares.

Net ticks: +0 ticks.

Futures Calls Recap for 9/14/15

A couple of big winners in the Opening Range plays, but then the market died off. Volume was the worst I've seen this year after 30 minutes and only closed at 1.3 billion NASDAQ shares. We closed right on the VWAP and spent the second half of the day in a 5 point range.

Net ticks: +0 ticks.

Forex Calls Recap for 9/14/15

Literally a flat session as we closed our trade right where we opened it when it never got to the stop or first target. See EURUSD section below.

Here's a look at the US Dollar Index intraday with our market directional lines:

EURUSD:

Our long entry was over R1, and that was the high of the session, so it never triggered. Short triggered at A, never hit stop or first target, and closed at B at entry price for end of session:

Futures Calls Recap for 9/14/15

We had quarterly futures contract roll Friday, moving the December (Z5) contract. This basically means that the big players sit out for a day while the technicals settled. This happens once per quarter. Mixed results to go with that on the Opening Range plays. See that section below. NASDAQ volume was only 1.5 billion shares.

Net ticks: +0 ticks.
