Stock Picks Recap for 7/30/13

With each stock's recap, we will include a (with market support) or (without market support) tag, designating whether the trade triggered with or without market directional support at the time. Futures Calls Recap for 7/30/13

A choppy opening with a NASDAQ side that was stronger than the rest, but then everything sold off during lunch before recovering late in the session. NASDAQ volume was 1.6 billion shares, and the Fed announcement is Wednesday.
Net ticks: +0 ticks.
As usual, let's start by taking a look at the ES and NQ with our market directional lines, VWAP, and Comber on the 5-minute chart from today's session:

NQ:
Just a reminder that we use half points for ticks on the NQ and not the quarter point measurement that the exchanges switched to in recent years. This allows us to use 6 ticks as a key target as we do on the other contracts. It also keeps the value of a tick at $10, closer to the value of a tick on the other contracts.
Mark's call triggered short at A at 3073.00. After almost 20 minutes of doing nothing after entering the Value Area, he closed it out at even:

Futures Calls Recap for 7/29/13

No calls for the session as none of the major contracts set a key level and volume was horrible after the first hour. In fact, the ES traded exactly inside the Value Area.

Forex Calls Recap for 7/29/13

A dull session with not much going on. We officially switched to half size for summer/August after last week's action, and so far, that was the correct decision.
Here's a look at the US Dollar Index intraday with our market directional lines:

GBPUSD:
Triggered short at A, never quite hit first target, but I lowered stop in the morning right over S1 and stopped at B for a small loss in number of pips, plus we were half size:
